Anthony Simpson

Anthony Simpson is Co-Head of Global Business Development for Ramius HVB Partners, LLC, based in London. Previously, Mr. Simpson was Managing Director of Merrill Lynch’s Insurance and Pensions Solutions Group, which offered innovative asset/liability hedging and investment solutions to insurance companies and pension funds in Europe. Prior to taking that role, he was global head of Transition Management (2002 -2004) and Head of Sales in Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (1997 - 2002).

Before joining Merrill Lynch in 1997, Mr. Simpson was co-head of the London office of PanAgora Asset Management (now part of Putnam), responsible for business development and client service. From 1989 to 1995, he worked at Goldman Sachs in London, where he formed and led a team to manage client relationships with pension funds, insurance companies and other financial institutions. Mr. Simpson first moved to London in 1986 while working for Salomon Brothers.

Anthony holds a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.

Anthony is a founding member of the Development Board of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and is a Patron of a number of Arts organisations in London.
