Travel

Montisi can be reached from airports in Florence (120 km), Pisa (Galileo Galilei Airport, 190 km), Perugia (Umbria International Airport, 76 km) and Rome (Fiumicino and Ciampino Airports, 210 km). Groups of students arriving together or at similar time can be picked-up from the airport by the Piccola Accademia student van. We strongly recommend that other visitors and Festival guests book a rental car in advance to collect at your airport of arrival. We also suggest hiring the optional satellite navigation units now offered by all major rental car companies to make your journey to and around Montisi more relaxed.

Rail travel is also an option, with the stations in Siena (46 km), Arezzo (54 km) both within walking distance of rental car agents (www.Hertz.com). Students travelling wholly by train from major cities should look consider Chiusi as a final destination from the direction of Rome and Buonconvento from the direction of Florence (please note that no rental car facilities are available at these stations and Piccola Accademia pick-up will only be available for groups of three students or more together).
